What a Demand Tier Costs in a One-for-One Trade

Every value card prints a swap band and a demand tier side by side. The band reads only the value, the calculator weighs both, and putting the two together gives each tier a price in list value.

Four pairs of items on our value lists share a list value exactly, as of September 15, 2026. On Adopt Me, Kangaroo and Shiba Inu both sit at 4,500 WFR with medium demand, and Albino Monkey and Arctic Reindeer both sit at 8,500 with high demand. On Grow a Garden, Green Apple and Eggplant both list at 360 Sheckles, both medium. The fourth pair is the one worth studying: Horse and Swan, both 800 WFR, Horse with medium demand and Swan with low.

The swap band calls all four a perfect 1.00× swap. The trade calculators score three of them dead even, and the Adopt Me calculator scores Horse for Swan as a loss for the Horse holder, by 16.2 percent. The difference is one demand tier. This piece measures what a tier costs in list value, across every one-for-one swap the band admits.

The calculator's even zone is narrow

The band on each card runs from 0.75× to 1.35× of an item's value and reads nothing else. The calculator multiplies each item by a demand weight (low 0.85, medium 1.0, high 1.15, insane 1.35) and calls a trade fair when the weighted gap is under 5 percent of the average of the two sides. Horse for Swan weighs 800 against 680, a gap of 120 on an average of 740.

For two items in the same tier the weights cancel, and the even zone runs from 0.95× to 1.05×, about a sixth of the band's width. The band screens for swaps worth discussing; the even zone is where a discussion ends in a fair verdict. The band admits 609 one-for-one swaps across the four lists, counted once from each holder's side (the same 609 panel entries behind why some items have no clean one-for-one trade). Of those, 469 pair two items in the same tier, and the calculator calls 42 of them fair. The rest lean one way, and the lean is what gets negotiated.

The price of each tier

When the tiers differ, the weights stop cancelling and the even zone slides. Read the table with your item's tier on the left and the tier of the item offered to you across the top. Each cell is the range, as a multiple of your item's list value, where the offered item has to list for the calculator to call the swap fair.

One tier down, the offered item has to list 9 to 24 percent above yours: a medium-demand fruit has to reach 1.09× to 1.21× of your high-demand fruit. One tier up works in reverse, and you can accept an item listing 9 to 19 percent below yours. That is why a tie across tiers is never fair. The closest case, high against medium at equal value, still leaves a 14.0 percent gap.

Two tiers apart, the zone runs from 1.28× to 1.42× when you receive the lower tier, against a band ceiling of 1.35×, and from 0.70× to 0.78× the other way, against a floor of 0.75×, so only part of it can ever show up as a band swap. Three tiers apart, low against insane, the zone sits at 1.51× to 1.67×, or 0.60× to 0.66× the other way, outside the band entirely. No low-for-insane one-for-one can be both band-clean and fair, and none of the 609 band swaps pairs those two tiers.

Which side of a crossing loses

The direction of a crossing predicts the verdict better than the band does. The band admits 134 swaps that cross one tier. In the 66 where you receive the lower-demand item, the calculator scores 53 as a loss for you, 6 as fair and 7 as a win. In the 68 where you receive the higher-demand item, it scores 55 wins, 6 fair and 7 losses. The six swaps that cross two tiers are three pairs seen from both sides, and every one scores as a loss for whoever gives up the more wanted item. That is the arithmetic under demand vs value: at matching list values, the side giving up demand is the side giving up the trade.

The six crossings that come out even

Across all four lists, six pairs of items cross a tier and still score fair from both sides:

Every one has the same shape: the less wanted item carries the higher list value, by 11 to 20 percent. Owl appears three times because it is the only medium-demand pet in Adopt Me's high-demand stretch from 7,500 to 14,000 WFR. Grow a Garden contributes none, because its demand tiers never change within a band's width, and none of Pet Simulator 99's six band swaps scores fair.

Two counters, worked

A counter-offer is where the table earns its place; how to negotiate a trade covers the conversation around it.

You hold Horse and are offered Swan. The medium row, low column says a low-demand pet has to list at 1.12× to 1.24× of 800, which is 896 to 989 WFR. The only low-demand pet in that range is Rhino at 900, so the one-for-one counter is Rhino instead of Swan: 800 against 765 weighted, a gap of 35, fair at 4.5 percent. If Swan is the only pet on offer, closing the gap means adding to their side, and building a two-for-one inside the swap band covers that case.

You hold Buddha and are offered Venom. On the Blox Fruits value list Buddha is 1,500 VP with high demand and Venom 1,900 with medium. The high row, medium column puts the even zone at 1,641 to 1,813 VP, so Venom overshoots: 1,900 against Buddha's weighted 1,725 is a 9.7 percent win for you, and a counter asking for more on top prices the demand tier twice. Shadow at 1,800 is the only medium-demand fruit inside the zone. Run it from the other side and the warning is sharper: holding Venom, Buddha straight across is a 9.7 percent loss on the calculator, even though 1,500 ÷ 1,900 = 0.789 sits comfortably inside the band. Deciding when a loss like that is worth taking is the question in what an overpay is, and when to pay it.

What the tier price does not cover

The weights are the calculator's rule of thumb, not a measured market premium, so the table is a consistent way to price a tier rather than a record of what traders pay for one. Demand on our lists comes in four coarse steps, and two items in the same tier can still move at different speeds. The lists were last checked on different dates: Blox Fruits on 10 September 2026, Adopt Me on 25 August 2026, Grow a Garden on 26 June 2026 and Pet Sim 99 on 11 May 2026, and a re-check can move an item across a tier as easily as it moves a value. Every value here is a community trade estimate, not an observed sale. Use the table to decide which way a counter should go and roughly how far, then run the exact pair through the calculator before accepting.
